The brief

Tallowwood Physio is a fictional Brisbane clinic we imagined to show our work. The brief we set ourselves: a site for sport, everyday pain and post-surgery patients that makes the first booking easy, shows fees, and avoids outcome promises and borrowed titles.

One question, four answers

The home page asks which appointment the visitor needs and maps four common situations to consult type, length, fee and clinician. It reduces the guessing that causes mis-booked appointments.

Describe the process

Every service page explains what happens in the room and what the plan looks like. None promises a result, because the rules treat that as creating unreasonable expectations of treatment.

Give runners and surgery patients their own routes

These patients arrive with different questions and different documents. Separate paths tell them what to bring and who they will see, so reception gets fewer follow-up calls.

Keep titles honest

Team bios use plain role lines and describe how each person works. The site avoids titles reserved for others, and avoids outcome claims in bios.

Inside the rules

What we left out, and why

Protected titles stay off this site

Only medicine, dentistry and podiatry have a recognised-branch register under the National Law. Physiotherapy does not, so the site describes what the team does and the experience they have, rather than borrowing a title that is not theirs to use. It's a small edit with a big legal effect.

Sport and rehab pages talk about process, not recovery

Rehab copy easily slides into promises like 'back to your best' or 'fully recovered'. Those create unreasonable expectations. Here the pages describe what happens in the appointment and what the plan involves, and leave the outcome to the clinician after they have assessed the patient.

Appointment chooser, not a menu

Patients do not usually know whether they need a standard or extended consult. A short chooser based on the reason for coming in tells them the length, fee and physio, and avoids calls to reception for the same question. It guides without pushing anyone to book more than they need.

No reviews or results stories

Posts about someone's injury and recovery are banned endorsements of clinical care in the eyes of AHPRA, even if the practice did not write them. This site carries none and does not link to review pages. Fees are shown, with the health fund wording kept neutral.
